DRAKE  DESIGN LANDSCAPE  ARCHITECTURE

Our award winning landscape and covered outdoor entertainment room is literally as an extension of this beautiful new praire style home overlooking Silicon Valley. While taking cues from the home's architectural details and the opportunities of the site, we designed with the Owners a one of a kind retreat, specifying artful details, quality elements and furnishings that were custom built by a team of renowned local artists, providing them delight throughout the years.
Initially completed in 2010, this project has won the Innovation Award for the outdoor room and outdoor shower design, published in California Home Magazine.
We also won the Net Zero Water Award from the Purissima Water District. The State of the Art Reclaimed Water system, which has evolved over time to it's current innovative, functional design installation by Denali Landscape in 2024, supplies both reclaimed water and roof rainwater for the irrigation system. All excess storm water is channeled  to a native meadow dry creek below the orchard, that we designed to percolate on site, & hydroseeded with native wildflowers and plants. Reclaimed water from local sources is delivered to the 20k gal underground tank, no potable municipal water is used for the extensive drought tolerant gardens and orchard. The gardens are teeming with colorful Native and Mediterranean plants, ensuring a rich, inspiring environment and habitat for all.

Each area of the garden offers artfully designed scenes and surprises at every turn.
